Preferred Stock Offering Details: Anworth Mortgage Asset Corporation (NYSE:ANH) (the "Company") announced today that it has commenced an underwritten public offering of its new 7.625% Series C Cumulative Redeemable Preferred Stock ("Series C Preferred Stock"). The Company expects to grant the underwriters a 30-day option to purchase additional shares of Series C Preferred Stock to cover over-allotments, if any.

Anworth Mortgage Asset is a real estate investment trust. Co. invests in finance and manage a portfolio of residential mortgage-backed securities and residential mortgage loans that include Agency mortgage-backed securities, which are securities representing interests in pools of mortgage loans secured by residential property in which the principal and interest payments are guaranteed by a government-sponsored enterprise; Non-agency mortgage-backed securities, which are securities issued by companies that are not guaranteed by federally sponsored enterprises and are secured by first-lien residential mortgage loans; and residential mortgage loans through securitization trusts.
